Ceylan is a young woman from a poor neighborhood who turns to crime to survive, using her sharp intelligence and agility to get by. Her gambling-addict father, Bayram, has racked up a million-dollar debt to a dangerous loan shark and forces her to steal a valuable manuscript from the home of an elderly man.

The target is İsmet, a retired doctor suffering from Alzheimer’s. Ali, a young photographer who cares for İsmet, stays by his side out of moral duty and hopes to reconcile him with his estranged daughter, İpek, who moved abroad years ago.
