Nalan, a young, beautiful, and innocent girl working as an architect at a large hotel. Her conservative and obsessive mother, Feride, controls every aspect of her life, from what she wears to who she sees. The reason for Feride’s bitterness is revealed: Nalan is actually her granddaughter. Nalan’s mother, Sema, died during childbirth, and Feride has never forgiven Nalan for "killing" her daughter.
Sedat, a handsome and successful heir to the Koroğlu hotel, lives under the watchful eye of his controlling father, Rafet, who monitors the family’s spending through Tako, a household staff member. Rafet wants Sedat to marry a respectable girl and leave behind his affair with Cana, a married mother of two. Sedat’s sister Selen steps in and tells her parents that she has met a nice girl, introducing Nalan as a potential match. After a dinner date, Sedat takes Nalan to his apartment, where she discovers women’s cosmetics in the bathroom and a secret room, realizing Sedat is not who she thought he was.
