Eccho Rights and Amazon MX Player continue strategic partnership

Amazon MX Player, Amazon’s free streaming service has extended its partnership with leading independent distributor Eccho Rights to bring two of Türkiye’s most iconic drama series, Golden Boy (Yalı Çapkını) and Chrysalis (Camdaki Kız), to viewers across India. The collaboration builds on the streaming service’s growing library of globally acclaimed content and marks a significant milestone in the ongoing partnership between Amazon MX Player and Eccho Rights.
Golden Boy (Yalı Çapkını) and Chrysalis (Camdaki Kız), both produced by OGM Pictures, rank among the most successful Turkish dramas of recent years. Golden Boy, which premiered on Star TV in 2022, has become a cultural phenomenon, breaking domestic ratings records and captivating audiences in over 130 international territories. Chrysalis, which debuted on Kanal D in 2021, quickly rose to the top of Turkish ratings charts, holding the number-one spot for over a year, and earned the prestigious Golden Butterfly Award for Best Drama Series.
“These are two of the most important drama titles we have seen come out of Türkiye in the past five years, and while both have enjoyed enormous success on the international stage so far, bringing them to the world’s largest consumer market in India represents another landmark step for Turkish Drama,” shared Melis Hamamcıoğlu, Director of Digital Media Acquisition & Content Sales at Eccho Rights, who closed the deal.

Eccho Rights launches Kanal 7 daily drama Asiye at MIPCOM
Eccho Rights will launch Asiye, the new daily drama produced by Kino Film Productions for Turkish broadcaster Kanal 7, at MIPCOM in Cannes. Presales open ahead of the series’ November premiere on Kanal 7, with filming due to begin on 17 October.
Asiye is the latest title from Eccho Rights’ long-running partnership with Kanal 7, which has already delivered international successes including Legacy, Winds of Love and Behind the Veil, the highest-rating daily drama ever broadcast in Turkey and now in its fourth season.
Seven years ago, Asiye lost her husband, her newborn son and her freedom in a single day. Now released from prison, she saves a drowning boy at the gates of one of Istanbul’s most powerful families, not knowing he is the son she believed she would never see again.
The series is directed by Taner Tunç and Nuh Şen, who have both directed Kanal 7’s long-running hit Legacy. Esengül Aypek stars as Asiye, with Ferhat Işıktaş as İlyas.

Eccho Rights takes three new TOD Studios dramas to Mipcom
Eccho Rights has acquired worldwide distribution rights to three new Turkish drama series from TOD, the streaming platform owned by beIN Media Group. Spanning romantic thriller, psychological drama and romantic comedy, the new slate builds on Eccho Rights' successful partnership with TOD, following the crime drama Beneath the Surface and the high-concept romance Another Chance. All three titles will be presented to international buyers at MIPCOM in Cannes.
The first title is Alıkara (10 x 45'), which premiered on TOD earlier this month to strong audience interest. Produced by Karga Seven Pictures, the company behind Beneath the Surface, it stars Miray Daner and Halit Özgür Sarı in an intense love story set against crime and grief. When forensic psychologist Işık's father disappears and homicide detective Deniz investigates his niece's suspicious death, their paths cross. As they uncover dark secrets together, the two find refuge in each other.
Doors of Destiny (Zamanın Kapıları, 20 x 45') marks Eccho Rights' first collaboration with leading Turkish producer Medyapım. It stars Esra Bilgiç and Birkan Sokullu. Sinan is a brilliant, reclusive computer genius whose life changes when he meets Nevra, the ambitious daughter of one of Türkiye's most powerful businessmen. Their encounter unlocks buried secrets about Nevra's identity and family. Their growing attraction then draws them into a passionate relationship — and into a world of betrayal, violence and the darker side of Istanbul.
Completing the slate is The Florist (Çiçekçi Kız, 13 x 25’). This romantic comedy from OM Content stars Helin Kandemir and Hakan Çelebi, and premieres on TOD in November. It follows an idealistic flower-shop owner who, in a bid to save her business, unknowingly takes on an undercover police officer as her new partner.
