The Vanishing Triangle
Set in 1990s Dublin, The Vanishing Triangle is inspired by true events of the time. Lisa Wallace (India Mullen - Normal People, Brassic) is a young, aspiring, female journalist with a harrowing back story; when Lisa was just ten-years-old she witnessed the murder of her mother by what at the time was assumed to be a home intruder. The killer was never caught and what happened that day has haunted her for her entire life. When Lisa publishes a deeply personal piece in the newspaper about her mother’s murder, she has no idea the chain of events that will unfold. The killer makes contact and so begins a cat-and-mouse game that will push Lisa to the limit. Together with David Burke (Allen Leech - Downton Abbey, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Imitation Game) ) - a detective struggling with his sexuality - they begin to connect her mother’s killing to recent disappearances of young women, and suspect an undetected serial killer may be responsible.
Produced by Park Films, Paperplane Productions and 87 Films for Virgin Media (Ireland) and Sundance Now (US), The Vanishing Triangle is Co-funded by the European Union.
