Successful gynecologist Martin Toman, co-owner of a renowned obstetrics clinic, is raising his young daughter Hanka on his own. Her mother left them so long ago that Hanka doesn’t remember her, but Martin has made a reckless promise: her mother will return for her sixth birthday. Now, with the date fast approaching, he has no idea how to keep his word.
Enter Nadi Vernerová, free-spirited, unpredictable, and full of life, who runs a family restaurant with her father Dušan and siblings Beáta and Juraj. Martin and Nadi’s meeting sparks a chain of unexpected events that gradually entwine their families, reveal long-buried secrets, and give Hanka hope that her dream of finding a mother might just come true.
