In 1998, Elif Çınar, wife of renowned economics professor Rauf Çınar, is stabbed by a thief, named Necip Talan. The lives of these two families from different worlds change after that night. Zeynep Çınar loses her mother, and Akay Talan loses his father, becoming nameless and homeless overnight. Akay adopts the name Kara, vowing to protect children from suffering the same fate as him by stealing from the rich.
Years later, Kara has become a young man providing for his neighborhood through the thieving skills he inherited. Zeynep, on the other hand, returns to Istanbul after studying journalism. The only thing these two people have in common is that night and whether they like it or not, life will bring them face to face once again. They fall in love, but the truth about that night looms over them.
