Arriving in Aberdeen to train as a detective on the DUO Commonality Scheme, ex-RMP officer Davis Lindo sets his sights on impressing his superiors in the North Eastern Police. Despite never having set foot in Scotland before, Lindo is raring to go - a fresh start, away from familial issues in Jamaica, and away from a life he’s keen to forget. However, when a high-profile figure is found dead on Davis’ first day on the job, he finds himself thrown in the deep end. As the case progresses, Davis finds that his instinctual approach leads him down a path that isolates him from his colleagues. As he finds himself out in the cold, Davis is presented with an opportunity to right a wrong from his past, to save a life with echoes of his own.
