James Alden (James D’Arcy) is a washed-up journalist making trashy documentaries when he lands the interview of the decade. Natalie Varga (Charlie Murphy), suspected of murdering her rich Hungarian husband makes James an offer: find the killer and he’ll get the exclusive everyone wants. Once a rising star, James's career was derailed by one terrible mistake. This is his chance at redemption, by exonerating Natalie but it won’t be easy. Everyone including his boss and old flame, Barbara (Indra Ove), believes Natalie is guilty. James, drawn to Natalie, wants to prove her innocence, but as the two get closer he realises that this project has opened him up to dangers far beyond what he expected. After a near-fatal trip to Budapest he returns to London to pursue the killer but Barbara has fired him from his job and no-one believes his stories of what happened in Budapest. Refusing to abandon the case, he's arrested by the police. He finally finds the one piece of evidence which proves the killer’s identity and motive but it may also lead to his destruction…
