When Ahana's father dies she is left utterly devastated. He was a devoted, dedicated and loving father and husband, but when his wife had an affair it broke his heart and he was never able to recover. While grieving, Ahana meets Anant, an older man who also recently lost his spouse and discovers he was her father's friend. Moved by their shared grief, they grow close. Though Ahana is young and beautiful, Anant's love for her is pure and genuine. Ahana at first believes she is in love, but eventually realizes that it is not romance but that Anant simply replaces the comfort and security that her father once provided her. Nevertheless the two marry, much to the dissaproval of Ahana's jealous mother. Complications arise when Ahana meets Rehan, a young man fostered by Anant, and realizes he is in fact her true love. Despite their undeniable connection, Ahana and Rehan's good hearts prevent them from betraying Anant, a man deeply important to them both.
