Amla is a young woman, who leads a peaceful life. She has plans to marry her childhood sweetheart and start a family. Then one night her whole world is destroyed. Walking alone at night, she is confronted by a group of drunken thugs, who attack and rape her. The incident is devastating, and Amla’s distress is compounded when her fiancé leaves her, unable to get over the pain and betrayal he feels. In a spiteful twist, Amla is forced to marry one of her attackers, in order to save his family name and honour. But as time passes, and through her search for justice, Amla ends up seeing a different side to her new husband...
