Comedy Combat in action around the world

The number one entertainment show in Finland has been picked up in several new territories around the world. Comedy Combat is a hilarious ratings-winning format from producers Yellow Film & TV. After scoring an average 60% share in its home territory for 5 straight years, a localised version was a hit on Kanal 2 in Estonia, and quickly signed up for a second season. Now Eccho Rights have sold the format to producers in China and Vietnam, with further options in Bulgaria and Sweden.

The show, which features the best acting and comic talents in the country, is a mix of improv and scripted comedy with a revolving cast of characters, both new and old each week, competing for laughs and a place in the audience’s affections. Performed and broadcast live, the winners are determined by a public phone vote.
