Pro TV lunches Fără Urmă, it's third Turkish format from Eccho Rights

Sep 17, 2026

Eccho Rights and leading Romanian broadcaster PRO TV have extended their successful scripted-format partnership, with PRO TV’s adaptation of hit Turkish drama Kaçak launching - as Fără Urmă (Without a Trace). The series airs on PRO TV and streaming platform VOYO, airing weekly on Mondays.

Kaçak is the third Turkish drama format Eccho Rights has licensed to PRO TV, following two of the broadcaster’s biggest recent hits. Ezel became Vlad, which ran for four seasons and is widely regarded as one of the finest Romanian dramas ever produced, while Insider (İçerde) became Clanul (The Clan) - a phenomenon so popular it spawned its own spin-off, Tătuțu’ (Our Father). Fără Urmă’s creative producer, writer and director is Anghel Damian, who was also behind Vlad, Clanul and Tătuțu’.

Produced by Süreç Film for ATV, the original Kaçak was a top-rating thriller across two seasons in Türkiye. It follows a policeman who kills the son of a ruthless mafia boss and is forced to build a new identity in a quiet town - until an act of heroism exposes him and drags him back into a war with his past.

PRO TV’s adaptation transposes the story to a remote Transylvanian mountain village, where Barbu (Alex Calangiu) lives a peaceful life with his family until a buried past resurfaces, forcing him to confront the powerful and corrupt Scarlat family to protect those he loves. The cast also features Adela Popescu, Aylin Cadîr, Mihai Constantin and Daniela Nane.

Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights, said:

“PRO TV has become one of our most valued format partners, and their track record speaks for itself - Ezel became the blockbuster Vlad, and Insider became Clanul, a hit so big it earned its own spin-off. Kaçak offers exactly the high-stakes, emotional storytelling PRO TV do so brilliantly, and we’ve every confidence Fără Urmă will follow suit. We’re thrilled to continue the partnership and to represent the series to buyers worldwide.”

Eccho Rights will represent Fără Urmă internationally alongside PRO TV’s other Turkish-format adaptations, offering the series to broadcasters and platforms worldwide as a ready-made.

Eccho Rights lands My Sweet Lie on Mediaset Italy

Eccho Rights has licensed the hit Turkish comedy-drama My Sweet Lie (Benim Tatlı Yalanım) to Mediaset in Italy, where the series premiered on Canale 5 this August, and will continue to air daily on the broadcaster’s streaming service, Mediaset Infinity.

Produced by O3 Medya for Star TV, My Sweet Lie was one of the top-rated Turkish dramas of its launch season and has since travelled widely around the world. The series stars Furkan Palalı, Aslı Bekiroğlu and Lavinya Ünlüer in a warm, funny and emotionally rich story built around one of the most universal themes of all - parenthood.

The deal marks the latest collaboration between Eccho Rights and Mediaset, one of Italy’s leading media groups and a long-standing home for Turkish drama on Italian screens. Mediaset has previously acquired a string of Eccho Rights titles, including My Home My Destiny, Everywhere I Go, Brave and Beautiful and Kurt Seyit and Sura.

Melis Hamamcıoğlu, Director of Digital Media Acquisition & Content Sales at Eccho Rights, who concluded the deal, said: “Italy has become one of the most exciting markets for Turkish drama in Western Europe, and Mediaset has been central to that story. My Sweet Lie is exactly the kind of warm, universal series that connects with Italian viewers, and to see it land here just days after our Portuguese deal shows how much appetite there now is for these titles right across the region.”The agreement follows last week’s announcement that My Sweet Lie had been acquired by The Walt Disney Company for STAR Life in Portugal, as part of a two-title package alongside Everywhere I Go. Together, the deals underline the accelerating momentum of Turkish drama across major Western European territories, where broadcasters and audiences alike are embracing the genre’s blend of emotional storytelling, strong characters and broad family appeal.
