New deals have been concluded for Golden Boy and Chrysalis during Content Americas in Miami.
Atresmedia has acquired Golden Boy for Spain, the latest title from Turkey for the broadcast group that first introduced Turkish drama to the Spanish market in 2018. José Antonio Salso, Head of Acquisitions & International Sales of Atresmedia: “Golden Boy is a hugely exciting title, and we can’t wait to bring it to our viewers in Spain - we are dedicated to bringing only the best premium dramas to our channels and Golden Boy is without doubt the top title from Turkey this season."
In Chile, Mega – the leading broadcast station - another channel at the forefront of Turkish drama’s global explosion in the past decade - has picked up both Golden Boy and Chrysalis. Manuela Velasco, Head of Acquisitions of Mega “At Mega we are proud of our position as leading broadcasters of Turkish series in the LATAM region, and we are delighted to add two more premium titles that will bring many moments of unmissable drama to our audiences."
“Golden Boy has been an astonishing success, with ratings exceeding anything we’ve seen for years in Turkey. Meanwhile Chrysalis has been consistently at the top of the viewing charts across 3 seasons and more than 60 weeks of broadcast. We are excited to see these titles continue to flourish througout the Spanish speaking world,” says Barbora Suster, Head of Latin America and Iberia at Eccho Rights.

Eccho Rights to represent The Trio
We are hugely excited to announce the latest title in our Western European Drama line-up: The Trio. Currently in production for SkyShowtime, the six-part romantic drama is based on the literary phenomenon Trion, by Swedish novelist Johanna Hedman. The best-selling book took the international publishing world by storm, and we are now looking forward to the television adaptation doing the same! The Trio is produced by SF Studios in association with Night Train Media, SkyShowtime, SVT and Film in Stockholm.
The series stars August Wittgenstein (The Crown), Felix Sandman (Quick Sand), Seth Manteus (Cherries) and Rebecka Harp.
The Trio is a story about love, sex and passion – a reflection of the meaning of life and the relentless passage of time.

Hugo is about to embark on his first years at university and has moved to Stockholm to become a resident of the Stiller family. This is where he meets Thora, the daughter of the house. This is also where he meets August, Thora's constant companion and occasional lover.
This is just the beginning of a wonderful friendship, of a whirlwind love affair, of the realisation nothing will ever be the same again. This is also the reason why Hugo never truly moved on. Will he dare to reclaim everything he has lost?

Beneath the surface returns for season two on TOD
TOD, the popular streaming platform owned by beIN Media Group serving Turkey and the MENA region, has officially renewed its hit thriller series Beneath the Surface for a highly anticipated second season.
Produced by LA and Istanbul-based Karga Seven Pictures, the first season captivated audiences with its compelling mix of family drama, a tense murder mystery, and a rich love story delivering TOD its highest-ever viewing figures upon its 2024 launch.
Returning for the 10-part second season are lead actors Hazal Kaya and Çağlar Ertuğrul, reprising their roles as police officers Cihan and Metin, whose private affairs threaten to undermine their work as front-line murder investigators.
“We are delighted by the opportunity to present another season of this extraordinary series to our clients,” says Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights who will represent the series worldwide. “There is a growing appetite for shorter series, particularly from international streamers who want an entry into Turkish content, so we can’t wait to present this latest premium title, starting at NEM in Dubrovnik this week.”
