Eccho Rights takes award-winning drama Everywhere I go to Spain
Following its launch at MIPCOM this fall, Eccho Rights has sold Turkish drama Everywhere I go to Mediaset España’s Divinity in Spain.
The series is produced by Karga Seven Pictures, a Red Arrow Studios company, and premiered this summer in Turkey to excellent results on Fox. Rapidly turning into the hit of the season, the story follows Selin and Demir who end up buying the same house from a family at war over the property. Suddenly they have to share their dream home with an unwelcome stranger and on top of things they find out that Demir is the new investor in Selin’s company, which makes him her boss. Although they’re struggling to avoid each other as much as possible in their private and professional lives, neither of them can resist the inevitable chemistry that builds between them which ultimately leads to a blossoming romance.
On top of winning over the Turkish audience, Everywhere I go received critical acclaim as well. Early November the series was awarded Best Romantic Series at this year’s Golden Lens Awards in Istanbul. Organized by the Turkish Association of Journalists, the Golden Lens Awards (Altın Objektif Ödülleri) celebrated the best in Turkish film, theater and television in their 24th edition this year.
“With nearly 20 Turkish dramas on air Spain, we don’t see this trend diminishing anytime soon. Everywhere I go is a great title for Spain, offering the perfect mixture of romantic comedy and drama,” says Barbora Suster, Head of Latin America and Iberia at Eccho Rights.
