Eccho Rights presents Wounded Birds at NATPE
Eccho Rights are presenting brand new drama series Wounded Birds at NATPE, the latest series from the producer of worldwide hit Elif.
The new series will air daily on Kanal D in Turkey, starting later this Spring, and Eccho Rights has already received wide interest, following the remarkable success of producer Inci Gülen Oarr’s previous series.
Elif is the longest running series currently on air in Turkey, and broadcaster Kanal 7 has just confirmed that it will be ordering a 6th season, to run through the 2019-2020 season.
The series has sold to 40 territories worldwide and has proved massively popular, scoring huge ratings across Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Wounded Birds, the first title for Gülen Oarr's new production company Stellar Yapim, is the story of two orphans on the run from the man that had raised them on the streets, trying to make a new life in Istanbul. They face many dangers, but also opportunities in their new start. But the question remains, can love, hope and determination propel them toward a glorious destiny?
“We are very excited to see the next series from a producer that has enjoyed so much international success already” says Fredrik af Malmborg, Managing Director of Eccho Rights. “Though it is still in pre-production, we have already received a lot of interest for this series as buyers see great value in a high quality daily series.”
“This is a story that we are very excited to tell. We have learnt a lot from having such a long-running series as Elif but we are thirsty to present something new to the world and we believe we will capture many more hearts with the emotional story in Wounded Birds” adds Inci Gülen.
