At Kiev Media Week it was revealed by the press that a deal is in place between Eccho Rights and Fox Television Studios to remake hit Ukrainian comedy format Servant Of The People in the USA.
The script from Studio Kvartal 95, tells the story of a disgruntled school teacher who unwittingly becomes elected president.
Already a huge hit in Ukraine, the original series is set for a second season and feature film and will soon be available to view worldwide on Netflix.

Our hilarious sitcom Servant Of The People has been nominated in the brand new comedy category at the Seoul International Drama Awards. From Ukrainian producers Studio Kvartal 95 (the team behind hit comedy format Crack Them Up), the unlikely story of a primary school teacher who unsuspectingly becomes voted president of the country has proved a huge hit in Eastern Europe.
With the current political situation around the world, and a society increasingly influenced by Youtube and social media, the series has really struck a chord with a number of international clients showing strong interest since we acquired the rights earlier this year.
