WOUNDED BIRDS AND CENNET TO MEXICO

Eccho Rights has completed the sales of Turkish Drama series WOUNDED BIRDS and CENNET to leading Mexican broadcaster, Imagen.

"At Imagen we are proud to acquire the best in international television for our audience and these two premium titles from Turkey represent further diversity in our line-up, while also serving the public what they want: quality, relatable, emotional stories that keep viewers coming back," says Erick Pulido, Programming Director at Imagen.

WOUNDED BIRDS, which is produced by Stellar Yapim for Kanal D in Turkey, has already scored significant ratings in Latin America, with Telemundo in Puerto Rico and Caracol in Colombia reporting top viewing figures having been amongst the first international buyers for the first two seasons of the series. CENNET is a worldwide hit, sold to more than 40 territories globally, that scored huge ratings for ATV in Turkey during 2018.

CENNET SELLS AROUND THE WORLD AND PREMIERES IN LATIN AMERICA

Eccho Rights has closed deals in numerous territories for Turkish Drama Cennet. The series recently premiered in Latin America on Canal 4 in Uruguay. With deals closing in Eastern Europe, the Baltics and Asia Turkish Drama Cennet is continuing its international trajectory. Its premiere on Canal 4 in Uruguay this January marked the first broadcast in Latin America to great results with more deals in the territory to be announced soon.

Cennet claims new territories

Eccho Rights has sold Turkish Drama series Cennet to a host of new countries around the world.

The Süreç Film-produced hit from 2018 will air on Nova in Spain, on OBN in Bosnia, has been picked up by Canal+ for sub-Saharan Africa and has also been acquired by MKCS Global in Myanmar, to be the first Turkish Drama broadcast on its female-skewing channel 4ladies.

Cennet was a top performer for ATV in Turkey last year, scoring very high ratings in a traditionally difficult Sunday evening prime time slot.

The romantic drama series has now sold to more than 50 countries worldwide.

Eccho Rights seals package deal with Indian Times Internet

Times Internet in India have licensed a trio of Turkish Drama series from Eccho Rights to add to the launch line up for an upcoming OTT platform.

The package consists of Cennet and New Bride, both produced by Sürec Film, and is rounded out by Brave and Beautiful, the global sales smash from Ay Yapim.

Nixon Yau Lim, Head of Asia Pacific at Eccho Rights: “There is a great thirst for Turkish content in India. In the past years we have had a number of Turkish script remakes in India but broadcasters are increasingly open to the opportunity to buy an off the shelf product that has already succeeded around the world.”

First raft of sales announced for Cennet!

Today we announced the first 6 international sales for the new Sürec Film series Cennet (Cennet’in Gözyaslari) with international interest in the series intensifying since its launch at Mipcom.

The Turkish Drama series that tells of a young woman’s struggle to reconnect with her biological mother after years of estrangement, has now been picked up in Bulgaria (BTV), Romania (Happy Channel), Lithuania and Latvia (SIA), Kosovo (Koha TV) and Georgia (Rustavi 2).

We have had amazing feedback on the series since its launch in Turkey in October, and will be concluding a number of further deals early in the New Year. Look out for Cennet as one of the most talked about titles at NATPE in January!

Cennet joins the Eccho Rights line-up

Eccho Rights is bringing a brand new series from top Turkish producers Sürec Film to Cannes; Cennet.

Airing this season on ATV, Cennet (Cennet'in Gözyaşları) stars Alma Ada and Berk Atan in the leading roles. Cennet (Ada) is an ambitious young woman from a tough background. When the woman she longs to work for turns out to be the mother that abandoned her as a baby, her motivation switches, having always sought the maternal love she has missed since birth. Yet her appearance rings alarm bells for her mother who suspects foul play, and tries everything to get rid of Cennet from her life once more.
