Threesome sells to UK, Germany and France
Telling the story of a young Swedish couple living in London and going through fundamental changes in their once perfect relationship, Threesome stars a young international cast including Matilda Källström, Simon Lööf (Sweden), Lucien Laviscount (UK) and Blue is the Warmest Colour’s Alma Jodorowsky (France). The series is written and directed by Lisa Linnertorp.

Eccho Rights brings Chrysalis to OSN
Chrysalis, currently airing its second season on Kanal D, is the number one rating series across the entire week in Turkey in the AB commercial demo, winning a very competitive slot on Thursday nights in all categories.
OSN becomes the latest major international media group to acquire the series, and will broadcast and stream the title across the entire MENA region. “We are proud to acquire Chrysalis and to be the first Middle Eastern media group to exclusively broadcast this title across the region. Eccho Rights teams with LA Productions and Channel 5 in UK
Leading the cast of Compulsion is Leanne Best (Young Wallander, Cold Feet) as Jenny, and Anna Chancellor (Pennyworth, The Watch) as Sasha. The gripping four part series follows paramedic Jenny, who after a fatal train crash develops a gambling addition to try to cope with her PTSD. Heavily in debt to some dangerous people, help arrives in the form of a good Samaritan Sasha, who offers Jenny a way out. However, Sasha has her own agenda, one which will ultimately force Jenny to take the biggest gamble of her life. For her life. Hayley Mills (Pollyanna, Pitching In) also stars as Connie Bertram; a fearsome loan shark who holds Jenny’s fate in her hands.

But Deniz tells a very different version of events. So, what happened that night? Nobody knows except Deniz and Mehmet Emir. They each describe the night very differently. They embark on a tense, breathless adventure in pursuit of the truth. All they have to do is prove that the other is lying.

Eccho Rights to represent two new K Dramas from CJ ENM
High Class features Cho Yeo-jeong, star of Oscar-winning movie Parasite, as Song Yeo-wool, a successful lawyer falsely accused of murdering her husband. The accusation sees her ostracised by her peers, and starts to affect her son’s life at his prestigious elementary school. One of the other mothers from the school offers her support, and Yeo-wool’s fortunes look to be lifting, but all is not as it seems…
Hometown is a mystery thriller, following a small town detective whose investigation into a missing child leads him towards finally solving the case of his murdered wife, with a terrorist cell seemingly behind both crimes. The series stars Han Ye-ri, who made her name in Minari, the Golden Globe-winning movie from 2020.
ECCHO RIGHTS AND WOWOW BRING HONOUR TO JAPAN
Debuting in 2019, HONOUR has proven hugely popular both in Sweden and abroad. The series became the first Viaplay Original ever to secure international pre-sales and returned in the spring of 2021 for a well received second season. A third season has been commissioned, to premiere in 2022.
Legacy the latest Turkish Drama coming to Spain

Legacy coming to raft of new broadcasters
Legacy will air across 10 Central and Southern American territories following a deal inked with Albavision, has been picked up by ATN in Afghanistan, Imedi in Georgia and is also set for SIA in Lithuania.
“Daily dramas from Turkey have proven to be hugely valuable and reliable content for channels all over the world, and many of our clients are signing up for the first two seasons of Legacy immediately - over 500 episodes - such is their confidence in the success it can deliver,” says Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights.
Debuting in September 2020, Legacy is the latest daily drama series from Karamel Yapim, the producers of international hits The Promise, and Prisoner of Love. Throughout its first season the series has produced strong results for Kanal 7, and season two will premiere later this year.
New K-Drama hit DOOM AT YOUR SERVICE
Produced by Studio Dragon and Studio&NEW for CJ ENM, DOOM AT YOUR SERVICE was the biggest drama launch in Korea this Spring and won warm reviews and top ratings at its premiere in May 2021. The series stars two of Korea’s most popular actors Park Bo-young (Oh My Ghost, Abyss) and Seo In-guk (Hundred Million Stars from the Sky), and will conclude its 16 episode run later this month.
The story of Dong-Kyung, a young woman who receives a terminal diagnosis but is offered the chance to fulfil all her dreams in her final 100 days on earth, the series mixes romance and comedy with fantasy, as she starts to fall in love with Doom, the mysterious being that has come to grant her wishes - in return for her soul.
“This is a warm, relatable romantic comedy, that also offers escapism with its fantasy elements during what has been a difficult year for all,” says Deborah Youn, Head of Asia Business at Eccho Rights.
Eccho Rights enter into co-production
One Euro Village is a mockumentary series, following events in a small, provincial Italian town that draws an influx of holiday home developers after it announces the sale of its dilapidated housing stock for €1 each. The problem is, a clerical error results in all the new homeowners coming from German-speaking countries who don’t speak a word of Italian. Inspired by true events that have made international headlines in recent years, the series is a fun and light-hearted look at the juxtaposition of cultures between Germans moving to Italy, and the overall search for a sense of community.
Adam Barth, who joined Eccho earlier this year as Director of Co-productions, Acquisitions, and Development, says “Eccho Rights is evolving the traditional distribution model into a more complex and participative role as a co-producer. We are aiming to provide producers with expertise in funding and packaging of series enabling them to get their shows on air in the most efficient and financially viable way."
Brave and Beautiful coming to Italy
“We have seen a renewed and growing interest in Turkish Drama in Italy in the past 12 months, and following the success that Turkish series have enjoyed in Spain during the past two years, we see Italy as the next Western European market that will really embrace these titles,” says Nicola Söderlund, Managing Partner at Eccho Rights.
The Promise now in more than 60 territories
At the same time the series has been renewed for a fourth season, to air on Kanal 7 in Turkey from September 2021.
Achla TV will bring The Promise to Israel, TV Pasiones has acquired the rights for the long-running drama to join its slate of Spanish-dubbed Turkish Drama for the US Hispanic market, and another deal just completed will see the series airing across 20 French-speaking territories in Africa.
New Czech Dramedy script, The Swap
The story of two families whose lives become impossibly complicated when they discover that their six year old sons were switched at birth, THE SWAP (13 x 60 min) is both an affecting, emotional family drama and also a thrilling mystery as the investigation to find out what happened to the boys throws up all sorts of surprises for both families.
The series aired earlier this year on public broadcaster Česká Televize under local title KUKAČKY proving a major hit with viewers, winning its time slot each week with an average share over 35%.
“This is a very special series with relationships between family, children and difficult moralistic questions at its heart - are the bonds of blood stronger than those that we create ourselves? Do they even matter? And are we better off knowing the truth or simply living the life we are presented with? I Can See Your Voice sold to Turkey
Acting as an exclusive agent for CJ’s entertainment formats in Turkey, Eccho’s Istanbul office have agreed terms with Acun Medya for the rights to the hit singing show format. Acun Medya’s TV8 is already home to a string of hugely successful entertainment format adaptations including The Voice, Master Chef and Survivor.
Turkey becomes the latest territory to take on the format which has already aired in 18 countries worldwide, including the US, UK and Germany, in addition to 8 hit season in its native South Korea. In 2021 new versions are set to broadcast from Spain, Russia, France and more.
Eccho Rights establishes London office
Adam Barth will be Eccho’s new Director of Development and Co-productions, working with UK producers and broadcasters to broaden the Sweden-based distributor’s English language slate. Adam will be tasked with finding new projects, and creative talent for Eccho’s ever-growing development roster, both for local and international co-production in collaboration with the company’s other global offices in Stockholm, Madrid, Istanbul and Seoul. Adam joins from NENT Studios UK (formerly DRG) where he worked as Commercial Director.
Lucy Roberts will take on the role of Director of Sales in the Eccho Rights team, handling the Eccho catalogue in Western Europe. Lucy has been a Senior Sales Manager at NENT Studios UK for the past 2.5 years, having previously held roles at All3Media, Keshet International, BBC Studios as well as ITV Studios.
Alexandra Aldred also joins the Eccho Rights team in an Advisory role. Alexandra spent the last 8 years as the Vice President Sales EMEA at the US studio Miramax. Alexandra will work part time as an advisor, co-ordinating Eccho’s ongoing cooperation with Sony Pictures Television as well as the market leading offering of Korean series from mother company CJ ENM, Asia’s largest media company.

Eccho Rights sells Sisterhood to Atresmedia
This is the latest acquisition from Turkey for the Spanish media giant who have enjoyed great success with Turkish content on their themed, female-skewing channel Nova, and more recently in primetime on flagship channel Antena 3.

Eccho Rights sells Love Child to Nordic pubcasters
Part of a representation deal that Eccho sealed with Sony Pictures Television towards the end of 2020, LOVE CHILD is a moving drama, based on the real experiences of young, unmarried, pregnant women living in a boarding house in 1960s Sydney, who were forcefully separated from their children at birth.
A hit for four seasons on Australia’s Channel Nine, Eccho Rights has now secured deals for the series to air on Sweden’s SVT, NRK in Norway and YLE in Finland.
Eccho Rights brings THE RED ROOM to Sweden
Produced by OGM Pictures for TV8 in Turkey, THE RED ROOM has been the number one drama series each week in a highly competitive Friday evening primetime slot ever since its launch in September 2020.
A psychological drama that has gripped audiences in Turkey week after week, the series is played out in a therapist’s office, with stories told through the eyes of the visiting patients.
“Though the subject matter in THE RED ROOM sometimes asks difficult questions of the viewer, the series has really struck a chord at a time when people have more time than ever for introspection and looking after their mental health,” says Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights.

Produced by Make It Productions, 8 WORDS has been a great hit on Skai TV since launching in the summer of 2019. Running daily, the series consistently ranked as the number one show in primetime during its first season and the second has continued this trend with a great reception during the current season.
8 WORDS (S1: 224 x 45 minutes; S2: ongoing) is the story of Odysseas, a free spirited, passionate artist, and his brother Michael, an ambitious and ruthless politician. The two are caught in a love triangle after Michael marries Iliana, the woman Odysseas is madly in love with. Legacy sells to international broadcasters
The series, which currently airs daily on Kanal 7 in Turkey, has just launched on OBN in Bosnia. It will also air on Achla TV in Israel, Happy Channel in Romania, Pink in Serbia and Montenegro, and TV Klan in Albania.

Eccho adds Threesome to catalogue
A young adult romance about a Swedish couple living in London, THREESOME is an international production with a cast of young acting talents from Sweden, the UK and France, written and directed by Swedish actor Lisa Linnertorp (The Bridge, Sthlm Reqviem).
David (Simon Lööf) and Siri (Matilda Källström) moved to London after finishing high school, deeply in love and ready to settle down and start a life together. Ten new destinations for My Home My Destiny
After continuing its high-rating performance on TV8 in Turkey during its second season this autumn, the series now travels to Spain, India, South Africa, Israel, Lithuania, Serbia, Georgia, Albania, North Macedonia and Romania.

Born Wild is headed by producer Anthony Alleyne, and is currently working on a number of titles which already have international co-production partners in place.
Examples include The Crystal Isle - a drug smuggling dark black comedy, based on a true story, and backed by national broadcaster RTP in Portugal - One Euro Village, a mockumentary focused on an Italian village selling dilapidated homes for €1 to stay alive, and Ezequiel Himes - a post-Apocalyptic Spaghetti Western, featuring telepathic undead, based on a Graphic Novel by acclaimed Spanish Graphic Artists, Victor Santos and Alberto Hernandez.
Also in development is Red Swamp, a thriller set in the Finnish Swamps, where a group of French explorers investigating a new world unveiled by melting arctic glaciers, discover that they have become prey. This project has been selected as part of the Film France/Nordic Film Commissions' showcase event happening as part of Focus 2020 in December.

The Promise tells the story of Reyhan who promises a dying family friend that she will marry his rebellious son Emir, and straighten him out. Despite the hostility she suffers from her new family, Reyhan is determined to honour her promise.

Love Me, Swiping and Eagles are all among the nominees for this year’s Kristallen, Sweden’s most prestigious television awards. All three series are up for 2020’s Best TV Drama, with individual acting nominations also coming for Love Me’s Josephine Bornebusch and Johan Ulveson. Love Me has also been nominated for Kristallen’s most illustrious prize, 2020’s Best Program.
Love Me, produced by Warner Bros. New scripted formats from SBS in S. Korea

Years later, they face dire consequences when the mogul's son – now a prosecutor himself - recovers his memory and finds out the truth behind his family's demise. Written by the duo behind K Drama mega hits Vagabond and Giant, INCARNATION OF MONEY won viewers in droves, doubling its rating over time.
In recent years Eccho Rights has compiled a large scripted format catalogue from several South Korean production houses such as CJ ENM, Pan Entertainment, JTBC and SBS, with more than 20 script adaptations in development around the world during the past 24 months.
ECCHO RIGHTS COMPLETES SOUTH KOREAN DEALS
VLAD from Romania’s PRO TV and THE END from producers Ay Yapim in Turkey, have both been picked up by a new channel specialising in Eurasian content, while BITTER SWEET LIFE, a Turkish hit from Sürec Film is making its way to a family-focused channel courtesy of Mint Media Group. Completing this latest round of sales in South Korea is TROTSKY, the historical drama from Sreda Production Company in Russia which has been acquired by Catch On.

Eccho Rights recruits new exec for Scandinavia
Stockholm based distributor Eccho Rights have recruited Lisa Widén as Sales & Acquisitions Executive for the Scandinavian market.
Widén comes from Film Capital Stockholm, where, as Head of Production, she has worked on the development and financing of more than 50 film and television projects. Some of her recent co-producer credits include STHLM REKVIEM for C More, JORDSKOTT for SVT and BEFORE WE DIE a co-production between SVT and ZDF.
In her new role she will continue to work closely with development of Scandinavian drama series that have become an increasingly important part of Eccho Rights' offering. As well as handling development projects with local producers, Widén will also take charge of Eccho Rights’ sales efforts on the Scandinavian market.
SILVER SPOON PICKED UP FOR REMAKE IN KOREA
“I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Russian drama and concluded that this story and characters will translate well as a Korean remake,” says Mr Insoo Shin, CEO of Supermoon Pictures.
Silver Spoon is the story of a young man, Igor, whose father grows tired of his playboy lifestyle and arranges a job for him in the police force. Though Igor is lazy, spoiled and unmotivated, he shows an instinct for detective work and soon starts to unravel mysteries that have long evaded his colleagues - including the case of his own mother’s death, where his investigations turn up uncomfortable questions for his father.
Cennet claims new territories
The Süreç Film-produced hit from 2018 will air on Nova in Spain, on OBN in Bosnia, has been picked up by Canal+ for sub-Saharan Africa and has also been acquired by MKCS Global in Myanmar, to be the first Turkish Drama broadcast on its female-skewing channel 4ladies.
Cennet was a top performer for ATV in Turkey last year, scoring very high ratings in a traditionally difficult Sunday evening prime time slot.
The romantic drama series has now sold to more than 50 countries worldwide.
SVT PICKS UP BRAVE AND BEAUTIFUL
The 2017 series caused a storm in the international market when it was revealed, starring Turkey’s two most globally renowned actors in the romantic lead roles, Tuba Büyüküstün and Kivanc Tatlitug, and in 2018 Brave and Beautiful was nominated in the Best Telenovela category at the International Emmy Awards.
International distributor Eccho Rights has now completed deals for the series in over 80 territories around the world, and it becomes the latest acquisition for a very popular Turkish Drama slot on SVT 2.
HONOUR PRE-SOLD TO TVNOW
The Swedish thriller is produced by Bigster for Viaplay. The series has already pre-sold to Belgian public service broadcaster VRT ahead of its Noridc premiere scheduled for autumn 2019.

International distributor Eccho Rights has reached agreements with broadcasters in Albania (TV Klan), Puerto Rico (Telemundo), Latvia (SIA), Kazakhstan (Khabar) as well as SVOD service Pickbox TV for Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro.
The series, which was one of the breakthrough titles of the 2017-18 season in Turkey returned for a second season on Star TV in September. Eccho Rights has already completed deals for the title across the rest of the Baltic region, a number of other CEE nations and recently opened the door to Latin America with a deal with Mega in Chile.

Starring Turkey's two best known actors Tuba Büyüküstün and Kivanc Tatlitug, Brave and Beautiful has already sold to over 75 territories worldwide following on from great success in Turkey where the series won massive ratings for Star TV.
The awards ceremony takes place in New York on 19th November.
Ezel remake coming in Romania
Already in production this summer, Vlad will be a new take on the well-known series, with an initial run of 13 episodes set to broadcast in 2019 on ProTV.
Originally produced by Ay Yapim, Ezel is considered one of the foremost Turkish drama series that has contributed to the growth of the country's scripted series around the world.
The story of a young man on a mission for revenge after a betrayal by his friends and fiancé, Ezel has previously been remade in Mexico, Russia and Armenia.
Vlad will star Romanian talents including Olympia Melinte, Diana Sar and Adrian Nartea in the eponymous lead role.
Elif season 5 coming very soon!
Eccho Rights has made deals for Elif in more than 40 countries worldwide, and the series been a huge success wherever it has aired. Trotsky coming to Mexico and Denmark
Now Canal 22 in Mexico, and Denmark's state broadcaster DR have picked up the series, which was originally made for Russia’s Channel One by Sreda Production Company.
“Russia has been in the spotlight lately, with the centenary of the October Revolution late last year, and the football world cup taking place this summer,” says Nicola Söderlund, Managing Partner of Eccho Rights. “This high budget, premium costume drama is a great acquisition for buyers looking to seize on this interest in Russia’s rich history.”
Eccho Rights seals package deal with Indian Times Internet
The package consists of Cennet and New Bride, both produced by Sürec Film, and is rounded out by Brave and Beautiful, the global sales smash from Ay Yapim.

El Accidente sells across LATAM

Brave and Beautiful also recently debuted on Mega in Chile, and has been scoring an average 25% share, with double the number of viewers of its closest rival in the afternoon slot.

On the Asian sales Nixon Yau Lim, Head of Asia Pacific at Eccho Rights says: “The Philippines is the latest country betting on Turkish Drama after seeing a growing interest across the region, in Vietnam and Malaysia particularly. This has even worked its way up to China where we have just completed our first deal for a Turkish feature film, as new channels are eager to test out this hugely successful genre.” Delibal, a 2015 romantic feature length movie also from Ay Yapim, has been picked up by BlueMedia Times for broadcast in China.
Centro Medico renewed for over 1000 episodes
“The Clinic is a simple but hugely effective format, taking real life medical cases, shooting on location and allowing each story to play out as in real life, providing gripping and emotional storylines every day,” says Nicola Söderlund, Managing Partner at Eccho Rights.
The Flemish original, De Kliniek, ran to 95 episodes on VTM and provided the channel with its best audience figures for the access prime slot in over 10 years. In addition to Spain, Eccho Rights has optioned The Clinic for remake in France, Italy, Finland and Ukraine.
New deals for Prisoner of Love!
Prisoner of Love is currently in its second season in Turkey. Following a strong first season on state broadcaster TRT, the series moved to leading commercial station Star TV where it has improved its rating and cemented its place as the top performing daily drama in the late afternoon slot. A third season has since been commissioned for later this year that will see the series extend beyond 600 episodes.

NEW BRIDE MOVING IN TO NEW TERRITORIES
TV 7 in Kazakhstan added New Bride to its line up in October, and has reported a doubling of its average share during its daily prime time broadcast. This has contributed to an overall upward trend in the channel’s performance, which has reported a 36% increase in its total share in the market place this Winter.
“New Bride has been one of the most successful series in Turkey this past year, regularly topping the ratings charts in a fiercely competitive Saturday prime time,” says Handan Özkubat, Head of Eccho Rights’ Istanbul office. “The success in Kazakhstan demonstrates its great appeal as a fun, yet romantic show that appeals to the whole family.”
TELEFE adds two Ay Yapim series to its slate
The broadcaster has picked up both Brave and Beautiful and Insider from producer Ay Yapim, two of the biggest series to have come from Turkey in the past year.

ELIF TOPS LATAM BUYERS LISTS
Channels across Latin American have enjoyed huge success with the series from producers Green Yapim, which first aired in the region on Caracol in Colombia in summer 2016, scoring an average share of over 25% ever since. More significant numbers have come from Telefe in Argentina where Elif has been winning its slot each day with an average share well over 40% since launching in August 2017.
Wapa America have now signed up the series for Hispanic US, while broadcasters in Puerto Rico (Telemundo), Paraguay (Telefuturo), Peru (Latina), Chile (TVN), as well as Caracol and Telefe have been busily renewing for additional seasons, buoyed by these success stories.

Eccho Rights starts Secret Affair
Secret Affair tells the story of a forbidden love between a well-to-do, successful woman in her forties, and a much younger man. Though he has none of her class and sophistication, his prodigious musical talent is enchanting and the two are unable to resist each other.

beIN picks up trio of Turkish Dramas for brand new channel
For the brand new channel, Eccho Rights has licensed three series for the 6pm, 8pm and 10pm slots on a daily basis. The first is Heart of the City (Bu Sehir Arkandan Gelecek) produced by Ay Yapim for ATV earlier this year. The second title having its first exclusive run in MENA on beIN is New Bride (Yeni Gelin) from Sürec Film. The series is currently in its second season on Show TV in Turkey and has topped the ratings in Saturday prime time each week since its return in September. The third series in the beIN package is Winter Sun (Kis Günesi) produced by Endemol Shine Turkey for Show TV.
First raft of sales announced for Cennet!
The Turkish Drama series that tells of a young woman’s struggle to reconnect with her biological mother after years of estrangement, has now been picked up in Bulgaria (BTV), Romania (Happy Channel), Lithuania and Latvia (SIA), Kosovo (Koha TV) and Georgia (Rustavi 2).
We have had amazing feedback on the series since its launch in Turkey in October, and will be concluding a number of further deals early in the New Year. Look out for Cennet as one of the most talked about titles at NATPE in January!
El Accidente premiere tops Spanish ratings
These numbers represent the best start for a new fiction launch on any of Mediaset Espana’s platforms in over 2 years. The series will consist of a total of 13 x 70 minute episodes in Spain, with an alternative 17 x 45 minute version available for the international market.

Eccho Rights repping Trotsky worldwide
A big budget historical epic produced for Channel One in Russia to mark the centenary of the Russian Revolution, Trotsky will have its world premiere at Mipcom with a gala screening in the Grand Auditorium at Palais des Festivals in Cannes on Tuesday 17th October.
The series charts the rise of Trotsky and his integral role in the October Revolution of 1917, through to his exile in Mexico. The story is told from his own perspective in the form of a confessional testament that he hopes will be his last chance to exact revenge on Stalin who so cruelly betrayed him.

Phi to be the first Turkish Drama in Korea!
The channel, which focuses on a female audience with a line up of lifestyle, cookery and fashion programming, will use Phi to introduce the Turkish Drama phenomenon to the Korean market.
Mint Media Group, who facilitated the deal alongside international distributor Eccho Rights, will dub the series in to Korean using A-list voice actors. CEO of Mint Media, Lee Hak Rae: “The Korean audience is not familiar with Turkish series yet, so the dubbed version will be a perfect opportunity to introduce this new genre in to Korea."
GTV will also bring a specially created 4K version of the series to their ultra hi-def service UHD Dream TV.
Cennet joins the Eccho Rights line-up
Airing this season on ATV, Cennet (Cennet'in Gözyaşları) stars Alma Ada and Berk Atan in the leading roles. Cennet (Ada) is an ambitious young woman from a tough background. When the woman she longs to work for turns out to be the mother that abandoned her as a baby, her motivation switches, having always sought the maternal love she has missed since birth. Yet her appearance rings alarm bells for her mother who suspects foul play, and tries everything to get rid of Cennet from her life once more.

Conspiracy of Silence set for worldwide distribution
Exploring the murky world of the international arms trade, Conspiracy of Silence stars Jens Hultén (Mission:Impossible - Rogue Nation, Skyfall, Johan Falk) as a former weapons dealer forced in to exile, who returns to Sweden on a quest for vengeance. The series highlights both the shattered personal lives that the weapons business leaves in its wake, and the moral hypocrisy that allows the trade to flourish.
The series also stars Vera Vitali (Arne Dahl, Brimstone) and Henrik Mestad (Lillyhammer, Occupied) and is created by Peter Arrhenius (Welcome To Sweden).
Conspiracy of Silence is to be directed by Charlotte Brändström, known around the world for her work on acclaimed series such as Outlander, Colony and Tyrant. The series will broadcast on Viaplay across the Nordic region in 2018.
Servant Of The People coming to Korea and France
The series, which returns to 1+1 this autumn for a second season, has been a resounding success in Ukraine, and was turned in to a feature film in 2016. The first season has developed a cult following online, with many millions of viewers for its official uploads on Youtube, and has won positive reviews after arriving on Netflix earlier this year.
In Korea, the series will air on HQ Plus as the first ever foreign content for the channel. A channel dedicated to themes of happiness and family, the political comedy of Servant Of The People will add a new twist to the schedule when it airs in November.
In France, award-winning production company Elephant Story have taken an option on the scripts.
Brave And Beautiful enjoying a great start in Romania
The channel has reported a strong increase in performance for the 8pm prime time slot, with Brave And Beautiful scoring more than double the usual share for the channel. And the performance has been on a very clear upward curve since the broadcast started in mid-August, with thousands more viewers joining the telecast each day.
Kill Me Heal Me added to the Eccho Rights catalogue
The series follows the fortunes of a young man struggling with dissociative identity disorder (multiple personality disorder) and the relationships that develop between his different selves and his secret psychiatrist. First released in 2015, the original was very popular on MBC and won several Korean TV awards.
The script joins a number of other Korean titles in the Eccho Rights line up, a number of which have been picked up by international producers, including Who Are You in the UK and Ice Adonis in Ukraine.

Ay Yapim score four nominations for Seoul Drama Awards
This latest news tops off a great week for both series. On Monday, Eccho Rights announced the 25th international sale for Brave And Beautiful while the series premiered on two separate channels - Canal Uno in Colombia and Wapa in Puerto Rico. And today we proudly announced news of further sales for Heart Of The City, including to RTM in Malaysia, where the series will become the first Turkish Drama ever to broadcast on free-to-air television in the country.

Elif wins 4 million new fans in Argentina
Meanwhile Telefuturo in Paraguay, where the daily series has been running since July, has reported average ratings over 17% making Elif by far the top rated series in the access prime slot.
In Turkey the fourth season is in pre-production with Elif set to return to Kanal 7 on September 18th. With an estimated 250+ episodes in the latest season from producers Green Yapim, the series will have amassed over 900 episodes by Spring 2018.
Ay Yapim dramas coming to Mexico!
Brave And Beautiful has been the subject of a number of highly competitive bidding wars in the international market, with the huge worldwide following of its lead actors Kivanc Tatlitug and Tuba Büyüküstün acting as a catalyst. In Mexico the series is titled Cezür.
Meanwhile Insider has piqued international buyers’ interests with phenomenal performance in Turkey, where the show was an unprecedented success for channel Show TV and obtained record breaking viewing figures online.
Insider enjoys Mega ratings success!
The series went on air of Tuesday last week, scoring 19,5% rating for the first episode, with audience share at over 30%.
Mega was the first channel to bring Turkish Drama to Latin America, and has enjoyed a string of ratings hits over the past few years, with various viewing records broken by series such as Ezel, Karadayi, Fatmagul and Medcezir.

MBC in the Middle East have acquired the series, while broadcasters across Eastern Europe, the Far East and Latin America have also picked up on what has been a huge fan favourite since launching on Show TV in Turkey in September 2016. In Europe, the ratings winning drama is going to LNK in Lithuania and Dori Media in Israel. Astro in Malaysia pick up the series as their next premium Turkish Drama highlight, while Imagen Televisión in Mexico complete the latest round of sales.
Insider has been the top series among Turkish viewers since its launch, scoring the highest ratings each week in an incredibly competitive Monday primetime slot, while breaking records for online viewers. The series opener has been watched more than any other episode of any Turkish Drama in history on Youtube, with over 11 million views to date.
Eccho Rights helping Storylab Argentina with co-production
Created by Nacho Viale and Diego Palacio, the team behind Netflix original Estocolmo and the International Emmy Award nominated La Casa Del Mar, Storylab Argentina has brought in Eccho Rights to help secure international co-production for the ambitious project, as well as handling worldwide distribution for the finished series. The partnership will also extend to a further 3 as-yet unnamed projects that Storylab has planned for the future.

MBC in Dubai have picked up the series for its wide-reaching channels that cover more than 20 territories across the Middle East and North Africa. Meanwhile Dori Media in Israel, KTK in Kazakhstan, and Koho TV in Kosovo have all agreed deals with international distributor Eccho Rights for the hit drama, currently airing on Star TV in Turkey.

The story is a psychological, romance thriller centered around a celebrity psychiatrist, Can Manay. He is a serial womaniser, but his obsession with new neighbour Duru, will have consequences for a whole cast of characters, while shining a light on Manay's own dark past.

The story of a young woman who must overcome a horrific group assault while confronting conflicting feelings for one of her attackers, the series is based on the series Fatmagul from Turkish producers Ay Yapim.
Eccho Rights will now represent the new series as a readymade worldwide, and have received a lot of interest based off just this short teaser trailer, as well as of course the reputation of the original series.
Fatamagul (Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne?) is one of the most successful Turkish Drama series of all time. It has enjoyed enormous viewing figures around the world, but just as significantly has affected social change through its subject matter. The series opened up a number of debates around rape laws world wide, and is credited with empowering large numbers of women to speak up about their abuses, particularly across the Middle East.

The latest success for the series has come in Latin America, where since debuting in August 2016 on Caracol in Colombia, the series has enjoyed a 30% share of the viewing public, while Chilean state broadcaster TVN reports an increase in rating from 4% up to 11% during broadcasts of the family drama. In Peru, Latina have already ordered seasons 2 and 3 having also seen impressive ratings during the first season.
Back in Turkey, Elif celebrated its 500th episode on Monday, with Eccho Rights estimating a total of 650 commercial hours available by the end of the current run this summer.
Heart Of The City coming to 3 new territories
The series, which debuted on ATV in January, is the latest from prolific Turkish producers Ay Yapim and writer Ece Yorenc, a partnership which has seen huge global success with Fatmagul, Forbidden Love (Ask-i Memnu), Kurt Seyit & Sura and Medcezir. Heart Of The City stars popular actors Kerem Bürsin (Seref Meselesi, Günesi Beklerken), Leyla Lydia Tugutlu (Karadayi) and Gürkan Uygun (Kacak).
The story of a young man raised at sea, Heart Of The City sees Ali (Bürsin) reunited with the city that he had tried to leave behind. Though he hates Istanbul and the painful memories that it holds for him, he finds himself drawn deep in to the city in pursuit of a beautiful girl. Ali soon finds far more to connect him to his hometown than he knew existed.
Six new deals for Insider!
"Insider is an amazing production, once again a No 1 series from Ay Yapim. The series is equally attractive to both female and male audiences, a signature for top Turkish dramas," says Fredrik af Malmborg, Managing Director of Eccho Rights.
Insider started its run in Turkey in September, and has been by far the top performing new show for the Fall/Winter season. With a stable 30% share every week in the commercial demo, the series scores nearly 4 times the average share for Show TV in this demo and time slot. The series airs on Monday night among fierce competition from two returning dramas, Orphan Flowers (Kirgin Cicekler) on ATV, and Broken Pieces (Paramparca) on Star TV, as well as the hugely popular Turkish version of Survivor, which returned to TV8 in January. However Insider remains number one in all categories, as well as scoring record-breaking viewing figures on Youtube where the first episode has now been watched over 10 million times.

Elif wins Latina awards and improves ratings in Chile
Meanwhile in Chile, the series goes from strength to strength. The first Turkish drama to be shown on national broadcaster TVN, Elif has grown ratings considerably for the channel since its debut in November. Initially impressing with a rating of 5,6% in November, the show is now already reaching upwards of 9% and continues to improve its performance each week. Elsewhere in Latin America the series continues to draw great audiences in Colombia and Costa Rica.

Zee signs up Snowdrop
Eccho Rights is working very actively in the Indian market at the moment. Multiple Turkish readymades have recently been licensed, and a local version of the Ay Yapim script Fatmagul is in development. This title will be launched worldwide by Eccho Rights at MipTV later on this spring.
Flight HS13 arrives in the UK
The series, based on an original script from Turkish producers Ay Yapim, was a big hit with audiences in the Netherlands late last year, scoring great ratings and more than doubling the channel NPO3’s average share over its 10-episode run.
Co-founder of Walter Presents and curator Walter Iuzzolino says, “Flight HS13 had me on the edge of my seat throughout. We are delighted to be doing our first deal with Eccho Rights and Column Film and given the premium quality of this series, we hope it will be the first of many.”
Crack Them Up coming to Finland
Meanwhile, following the huge success of the first two seasons, broadcaster HTV7 has confirmed a third run of the Vietnamese version of the show from producers Dien Quan.

Elif gets picked up in two new territories!
In Bangladesh the series will air on Deepto TV in the new year, while in Georgia, Imedi has picked up the show. This follows a strong start in Chile where TVN recently became the latest channel to broadcast the series dubbed in Spanish, following Colombia, Peru and Costa Rica.
Last week at ATF in Singapore, Elif was a great talking point with many buyers from all over Asia interested in the show following its great success in Indonesia and the recent sales in Sri Lanka and now Bangladesh. The deal includes two huge hits from this fall; Insider and Brave And Beautiful (pictured), as well as the new series Heart of the City with Kerem Bursin in the lead which will premiere later this Winter. FiCiPi, a series based on the million-selling novels of the same name will join the slate early next year, and also included are three feature films from Ay Yapim - Delibal, My Grandfather’s People and A Small September Affair.
Eccho Rights previously announced a deal for the four brand new series with Mega in Chile during Mipcom, while intense negotiations are underway in some further 30 territories around the world so expect to see more deals announced soon!
Brave And Beautiful makes strong start
Most of the talk centred around the cast, with Turkey's most popular talent Tuba Büyüküstün and Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ in the romantic leads.
Fans all over the world have been anticipating the latest series from both superstars, and the feedback regarding their onscreen chemistry was overwhelmingly positive.

Elif making her mark in Latin America!
In August, Caracol in Colombia became the first channel to broadcast a Spanish dubbed version of the show and it was an immediate hit, scoring a regular 30% share each day, more than double its nearest competitor.
Elif was subsequently picked up by Latina in Peru who signed up for the first three seasons following a strong start this autumn, and just last week the series debuted on Teletica in Costa Rica.

With tough competition from Turkey's version of The Voice, and a number of other drama series, Bitter Sweet Life has secured the top slot with its playful yet emotional story telling.

Insider - The Success Of The Season
This weeks episode scored a 10% rating in AB and the first episode, originally broadcast just a month ago, has to date over 10 million viewers online. It is also interesting to see that the series performs very strongly with both female and male audiences, with an almost flat gender balance. The viewers are also young with similar ratings in all important age groups.
Eccho Rights is representing the series on behalf of Ay Yapim, and we already have multiple offers from territories all around the world.
Elif is coming to Sri Lanka
Following the enormous success of the show in Indonesia, PT Spectrum, a Jakarta-based film agency, have picked up the show to take in to Sri Lanka where they have a proven track record of selling Hollywood movies and Indian TV series.

Mega in Chile snaps up four new Ay Yapim titles
The next title, Brave And Beautiful will launch in the coming weeks on Star TV starring Tuba Büyüküstün and Kivanç Tatlitug. Also included is the newly announced "Bu Sehir Arkandan Gelecek" which will start on ATV in December and stars Kerem Bursin in the lead role. And the final title in the package is Fi Ci Pi, based on a trilogy of books written by Azra Kohen, and coming later this year.
Mega were among the first channels to take Turkish drama to Latin America and following the stunning success of Ezel and other titles when first broadcast in 2014, others were quick to follow suit, leading to a huge boom in Turkish drama in the region.
Eccho Rights to represent two new Swedish series
The first series is Honor, a Swedish crime series starring Sofia Helin and Alexandra Rapaport. A crime series with strong human stories, Honor follows events at a humanitarian law firm run by four female lawyers, who come under threat after they take on a controversial case.
The second title is international thriller Brink, starring Rakel Wärmländer and Rapaport again. Brink is the story of an army lieutenant on leave who, after a visit to her father's nature reserve in Kenya, enters in to a battle against big game poachers and the international crime syndicate behind them.
Two more series ahead of Mipcom!
Bitter Sweet Life is the upcoming school-based drama from Turkish Surec Film, following a young teacher as she battles against the powers that be to ensure the best education for her pupils, and the best future for her little sister. It premieres later in October on Star TV Turkey.
Then from ABS CBN in the Philippines comes You're My Home. A huge ratings winner earlier this year, You're My Home is a drama series that follows a family torn apart by a father's professional decisions, and the subsequent disappearance of their son. In the spring of 2016 the series finale attracted a 50% audience share in the Philippines!

Three new CJ scripts for Eccho Rights
The new deal will see Eccho Rights selling Tears Of Heaven, A Bird That Doesn’t Sing and Memory across Europe and the Middle East. The first two series are long-running dailies both with strong female leads, while Memory is a 16-parter following the emotional journey of a man coming to terms with an early diagnosis of Alzheimer's.
In the past two years Eccho Rights has sold CJ scripts Ice Adonis and Who Are You to a number of territories worldwide, the Ukrainian version of Ice Adonis being a particularly notable success, commissioned for 100 episodes on Ukraina.

A search for a missing woman turns in to a political crisis and a deeply unsettling investigation for Inspector Pelazas, played by award winning Argentinian actor Darío Grandinetti. The series won Argentina's prestigious Concurso de Series Ficcíon Federales.
Servant of the People coming to America
The script from Studio Kvartal 95, tells the story of a disgruntled school teacher who unwittingly becomes elected president.
Already a huge hit in Ukraine, the original series is set for a second season and feature film and will soon be available to view worldwide on Netflix.

Two further series will be coming later this winter, while also included in the deal are 3 feature films, and 2 drama series from earlier seasons.
Comedy Combat in action around the world
The show, which features the best acting and comic talents in the country, is a mix of improv and scripted comedy with a revolving cast of characters, both new and old each week, competing for laughs and a place in the audience’s affections. Performed and broadcast live, the winners are determined by a public phone vote.
The End to be remade in Spain
This is the third time this year that a major European broadcaster has ordered a local version of the show. The first to go on air will be in the Netherlands. Vlucht HS13 (Flight HS13) is set to premiere the 4th of September on KRO-NCRV, produced by Column Film. Another adaptation of the Turkish script is in production for Channel 1 in Russia, produced by Russian World Studios.
The End is a powerful thriller that tells the story of a woman investigating her husband's death in a plane crash, only to discover that he never actually boarded the flight.
Nurses getting more treatments
In Sweden, TV4 will be premiering a local remake (Syrror) later in the autumn, with the Swedish version already sold to public broadcasters in Norway and Denmark.
Elif scores further success around the world
This follows a dramatic start in Colombia where Caracol have been receiving an average 30% share since first airing the show at the end of July. The second placed channel in the same slot is reporting just a 12% share, demonstrating Elif's continued ability to draw in viewers! Elif will debut in Peru at the beginning of September on Latina.
Back in Turkey, Green Yapim are in the midst of pre-production for the third season that will be premiering on Kanal 7 later in the autumn. Just like Elif's many millions of fans worldwide, we can't wait to see what happens!
Servant of the People nominated for Seoul Award
With the current political situation around the world, and a society increasingly influenced by Youtube and social media, the series has really struck a chord with a number of international clients showing strong interest since we acquired the rights earlier this year.
Seoul International Drama Awards winners will be announced September 8th.
Football format scores in The Netherlands and Finland
In The Netherlands, Tuvalu will develop a version based on the Dutch Eredivisie football league featuring teams like Ajax and Feyenoord. Taco Zimmerman, creative director at Tuvalu, says, "Young men are historically a hard audience to attract, but u:Supporters taps into the biggest activity for this demographic - playing video games - and the biggest sport on earth - football.”
While in Finland, Yellow Film are developing a local adaptation based on a national ice hockey league. Milla Bruneau, COO Yellow Film & TV Group at Yellow Film, says “Since ice hockey is a bigger sport in Finland than football, we looked at how we could make it relevant for our audiences and ice hockey seems the natural choice.”
Nicola Söderlund, managing partner at Eccho Rights, comments, “The great thing about this format, which is illustrated by the deal in Finland, is that it is easy to adapt for local markets where football might not be the number one sport. I can imagine basketball or American football versions being popular in some territories.”

Perfidia to get UK remake

This is the second remake deal Eccho Rights has signed with DLT, following last year's deal on Scandi hospital drama Nurses (Yellow Film).

The End has already scored a number of firsts, including being the first Turkish drama piloted in the US and the first to air in Western Europe on Swedish public channel SVT.

In the Stockholm office, Eccho Rights has recruited Karin Strandberg Blom as drama development executive. Sweden orders Nurses for local version

Eccho Rights represents the Swedish version of the show and has already presold it to TV2 in Norway and DR in Denmark.
Last year, the distributor sold the rights for a UK remake to DLT and licenced the first two Finnish seasons to ProsiebenSat1, making Nurses the first Nordic series ever to air on a commercial broadcaster in Germany.
Eccho Rights signs Gonul for three new territories

TVE renews scripted reality format The Clinic for 100 episodes
Created by Tuvalu media and adapted for Spain by production house Zebra, Centro Médico is the first show to improve ratings for the public channel TVE for the difficult 18:30-19:30 time slot - and also the first scripted reality format for the territory.
The Clinic originally aired on VRM in Belgium where it pulled in record audiences for the channel.
Eccho Rights acquires Latin American rights to acclaimed "The Bible Collection"
Since this landmark show was originally broadcast the whole catalogue has been restored and re-mastered to 4k quality by Lux Vide, making the content fresh for a new generation of viewers.
