Save Me
16-year-old Mila and her family move to a small, rusty town where the smell of cattle permeates the air and humble people lead simple, uneventful lives. Mila’s father is scammed by his friend who gambles away all his money, but Mila stays upbeat to keep her family together. They soon become optimistic about their new dwelling since her father finds manual work at a barn and Mila’s feeble, bullied twin brother gets a fresh start. Unfortunately, her twin brother sustains the same fate in the new school, and his continued trauma leads to suicide. This shakes her mother into insanity and her father hopelessly attempts to make things right by joining a religious cult. Mila sees through the seemingly benevolent cult that is actually poisoning her parents and the community, but the cult takes her hostage and forces her to become the spiritual bride of the ominous cult leader. Meanwhile, four teenage boys roam the streets without any direction in life, beating their boredom now and then with underage drinking and petty fights. Then a sudden cry for help in a dark alley grabs their attention, and they embark on a dangerous journey of infiltrating the murderous organization that has already brainwashed the elders in town. They must get to Mila before she is sacrificed for the cult’s horrifying road of salvation.
