A story of two orphans on the run from a ruthless criminal trying to make a new life in Istanbul, from the producer of international hit series Elif.
A powerful industrialist intercepts a letter that seems to prove his daughter is not his own. In a fury, he gives her away in a backstreet adoption, telling everybody that she died in a car accident. The reality is far worse. Little Zeynep ends up taken in by Darmuş, a low-level gangster whose “gang” consists of children. As she grows up, she acts as a foster-mother to the ragamuffin pickpockets who make up Darmuş’s crew and when she sees a dangerous situation arising for 6 year old Ömer, Zeynep escapes with the little boy to raise him as her own.
She finds work at a wealthy mansion helping out in the kitchen. Ömer gets enrolled in school. Life is hard but it’s far better than anything they’ve known before. The cool and distant youngest brother in the house Murat has just returned to Istanbul to help run the family business which has been losing power due to mismanagement. Zeynep and Murat’s personalities clash when they first meet and the hardworking young woman has a tough time getting along with a rich guy so different from herself. But there is an irresistible spark between them that even Zeynep struggles to deny.. What no one could ever have known was the secret connection between Murat and the orphan Ömer — or the chain of events after Zeynep’s birth-father learns he was wrong all those years ago, and that he gave his own daughter away by mistake! Meanwhile, Darmuş is still scouring the city looking to get his revenge against Zeynep. Who will find her first, Darmuş or her long-lost father?
