Hold on to Your Seat! with Eccho Rights

Eccho Rights has secured the exclusive global distribution rights to hit game show Hold on to Your Seat!.


Created by French production outfit Effervescence, the show has become the hottest daytime show in France in the last decade. With over 2,500 episodes broadcast, Hold on to Your Seat! has achieved the highest audience share in the noon slot on France 2, adding 150% since it began airing in 2006, and still offers the channel its highest ratings on a daily basis.


In 2013 France 2 viewers voted Hold on to your Seat! as their favourite show for the 5th year in a row and the show has spawned the biggest online quiz in France with over seven million registered users and 150,000 daily players.

Hold on to your Seat! is all about a Champion. Each day six new contestants join the quiz with the goal of beating the reigning champion to start winning money for themselves. However, the champion has special privileges like choosing the questions. Each day the champion stays in the seat, their prize package grows, but so does the desire of the other contestants to take the champion's seat.
