70 million viewers for season one of Phi - so far!

The final episode of Phi reached 3 million viewers within 72 hours on Puhu TV, pushing total viewing numbers for the series to over 70 million by the end of June.

These numbers put Ay Yapim's groundbreaking series among the most watched Turkish series anywhere during this spring, despite being exclusive to Puhu's online platform and benefiting from no traditional linear broadcast.

The first original content produced for Puhu TV, Phi has also contributed to a surge in the channel's success. Since the launch of the series Puhu has scored a number of new landmarks, with use of the platform more than doubling following Phi's initial release, and since then more than 20% of Turkey's entire internet-connected population tuning in to the series.

Amazing start for Phi

Phi, the brand new drama from Ay Yapim in Turkey, has recorded unprecedented viewing figures on Puhu TV, Dogus Media's new VOD service. The first original series created for Puhu TV, Phi has recorded an aggregated 7 million viewers for its first 3 episodes, which were released together on Friday 31st March. The platform, which launched earlier this winter, reported a 400% increase in app downloads in the week since Phi’s launch, with more than twice as many unique users on the service compared with the week before.

The series was launched with an International Premiere screening at last week's MipTV with leading cast members Serenay Sarikaya, Mehmet Günsür and Berrak Tüzünatac all in attendance.

Phi is a daring, psychological thriller following the celebrity psychiatrist Can Manay (Ozan Güven), whose world is turned upside down by the enchanting beauty of his new neighbour Duru (Sarikaya), who is in a seemingly perfect relationship with composer boyfriend Deniz (Günsür). But Manay’s attempts to manipulate those around him are threatened by the investigations of a journalist (Tüzünatac), determined to unearth secrets of his dark past.
